Wishing Well Stable

May 2008

It is always amazing to me how fast time travels, I remember when Spring used to take forever, and the hills stayed a lush Irish green for what seemed forever. Now it seems as if I just finished color matching the dining room with the outdoor landscape and it is already changing to the Golden hue that will stay with us until October. That being said, we did have some wonderful happenings at the barn.

Twin Rivers Horse Trials (March)

During February Gab had to put Flyer on a strict rehab program, and therefore was not able to show at March Twin Rivers Horse Trials.

Although I was very sad that I did not have my "right hand" during our second adventure at Intermediate this year; I was, however, very grateful that both my Mother and Father were in attendance for all three phases of the Horse Trial. It has been a long time since both have stayed through an entire show. My Husband and son also came for the event and enjoyed riding the dirt bikes I had brought with me to the show grounds.

The weekend turned out to be quite successful as Ezra and I had another qualifying ride, despite the fact that the horse in the court next to us did a back flip during our dressage test; thankfully the judge acknowledged the incident and adjusted scores accordingly. Unfortunately Ezra was not on the same page after this incident but, we did manage to squeak out a qualifying score (although I am still not sure how).
