Wishing Well Stable

Village PrincePrince's temperament is true Connemara. Everything that has been asked of him he has been willing to do. He has surpassed all expectations of what owning and training a stallion would be like.

Born in 1994, Prince was bred by Patrick King of Ballyconneely Co., Galway, Ireland. Co-owners Gina Marie Shaman and Vicki Boicelli imported Prince to the USA in February 2000. Prince stands 148 cm/14.2 hands.

At the time of his arrival in the USA, Prince was not yet broken to ride, but within three months he was out schooling the cross-country courses of Northern California.

His first recognized show was the 2000 West Coast Connemara show, where he came away with the reserve Grand Champion Green Hunter. In dressage, though still green, he scored an 8 on gaits in all tests from two different judges. Prince made his debut in the eventing world at Rod Hiskens' Eventful Acres in Fall 2000. Once again he scored an 8 on gaits, jumped around the novice cross-country course clean and fast, and finished his stadium round putting in flying changes when they were needed.

Prince has been a complete joy to handle, train, and to be around on a daily basis. The comment "he’s a stallion?" is often heard echoed, for true to his breed he takes his jobs seriously and only thinks of breeding when the time is appropriate.
